Nelly, I suspect that worked since you marked this Q as answered. Yes, one must keep in mind that the server may indeed keep a session open even if the user has closed the window so always remember to use the Agile logout. Additionally, changes to privileges are not available to any session that remains open during the change, hence the logout and back in. You will get the hang of what changes you can make in the Admin and NOT have to cycle the logout but mostly, yeah, you will need to cycle the session. Glad I could help!

Yes MG, the attachment attributes are definitely an issue. We have tackled this issue by instating a PX that does validations such as you are seeking. On the Page3 field the PX will state the error for further guidance to the users.

Wow, that is a very interesting use case. To break down what you are seeing, the SaveAs is simply a copy function that grabs the values and then goes into a Create mode so inherently you cannot use SaveAs without Create. Yet let’s explore what you are looking to accomplish. As I understand you have a set of users that may create, then another level of users who may only use SaveAs from those created. This may need to have a PX to fully reach the level of performance you are seeking. Just thinking off the cusp on Criteria and if I set a rule for discussion sake that the Item needs to be in a RELEASED state, then I could use SaveAs which would then appear in the Actions menu. On the flip side if I attach the Criteria that the Items needs to be in a RELEASED state and attach that to the Create privilege and assign to the user… would that function? All-in-all I am skeptical that we may reach an acceptable function using the config. Try the idea out and let me know if it works. Otherwise look to a PX to provide the capability.

OK, SWB is an item (document or part) and the PNCR is a request I believe and the PNR is a change order. Gotcha! So you wish to automatically fill in the fields of the PNR or PNCR based on the SWB that is attached as an affected item. Correct? If that is true then the command line you show above should be pointed to the request or change rather than the item. I am not a strong PX guy but have spent a considerable amount of time in the tables looking for data.
IItem item = (IItem)session.getObject(ItemConstants.CLASS_PART,
"P0001"
)
Item will be Change
Part with be either Request or Change Order- 2707 views

Just found this in hopes that it may ring a bell…
“You have no other conditions like update this in all rows then you can try
UPDATE jos_content SET title = CONCAT('Mr. ', title)
if you want to update conditionally that means particular row needs to update the you can use
UPDATE jos_content SET title = CONCAT('Mr. ', title) where fiedl_name ='condition' eg: UPDATE jos_content SET title = CONCAT('Mr. ', title) where id = '1'
this will update only one row which contain id=1.
any way before doing this should keep a backup”

See details in the RMW guide right around page 100
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15366_11/otn/pdf/administration/E16482_05.pdf
They are not quite as concise as you may want.
