What actual roles are required for PPM?

PPM requires a named user license. We will be implementing PPM to use the gates/tasks and using PC document objects/workflows. Are PPM roles required for PC users to see/view the information on gates/tasks? Or, are the roles only required to create templates, close tasks, etc? Trying to determine how many true PPM users we will have.
Thanks

Thinking you are asking how many users will need PPM licenses.  If this is a true assessment it would be anyone involved…. including change and view only.

Yep, you are correct, that was my root question. The answer is unfortunate!

We copy the project plan and it’s files to a folder on the Agile Product Collaboration and sync the files between the two (special programing). This way all users can see the docs status and project progress.

Another solution: We are using a program that was developed by our vendor. This program is taking the tasks per user from the PPM module and open them as tasks on the user’s personal outlook. It also allows to upload and download files on Agile directly form Outlook. This way the users can see their tasks on Outlook and open the relevant files directly from Outlook.

I suggested our vendor to upload it to myagielplm marketplace and they did. This is the link to their product: http://app.myagileplm.com/products/my-tasks/
