How to create Selective Attachment Access Privileges against an Object

I would like to create privileges to select which users may see only specific attachment files on an Item Object attachment tab.

Example: I can create different folder number prefixes by creating different folder categories, such as FLD-* for general viewing, and SRC-* as a source container. When an Item object is created, both file folder types may be attached to the object, or added dynamically while the object is being created. However, I want only to permit Development users to discover, view and get the SRC-* folders through the Item Object.
The Criteria condition under Data Settings apparently does not allow specific attribute queries on the Attachment tab of an Item Object. Is there a way to create this? As a policy, we don’t want to create a new Item object to just hold the design container as a separate document/part number from the distribution files, else an occasion may situate a diversion in revision control.

Any thoughts on how to achieve the goal above?

Using Agile version 9.3.2.

I had discuss this same idea a few years back and at the time we were looking into digital rights management processes.  Agile is limited in this capacity.  Our project stalled due to cost but that was probably 6 years back and I have not looked back down that path since.

Why do you want to create criteria based on Items? create a criteria using File Folders with “Title Block.Number starts with SRC” and use this criteria to create privileges and give them to Development users. Now they can see only File Folders starting with SRC.

In this case, even though you have FLD* and SRC* objects on Items, development users still see only SRC* objects.

And again they should not have any other privileges related to File Folders which has full access to discover the other file folder objects.

I am not sure this is what you are looking for or something else.
