In a single line we can say, the Smart rules are meant for Business process and Preferences are for system-wide functionalities

If you use the Import wizard in Redlining mode (the default setting), you must specify a change order to import items, BOMs, AMLs, and prices. Redlining mode, 

If you use the Import wizard in Authoring mode, you can update an existing BOM, AML, or Published Price Lines if the parent item or price is unreleased and does not have a pending change

you can use EVENT_HISTORY Table from the database which will capture the event success or failure message. 
using the table it is easy to identify the success or failure events and take appropriate actions. 

and also as mentioned by arif this can also be achieved by catching an exception and send the group of people about the failure.

if you would like to update the P2 and P3 attributes, it is identified as a tables in the webserices. call the corresponding object table and update them as required.

As far as i know.. we cant create any popup messges in agileplm using SDK or Event framework.

Hi Antonio,

there is no issue in the webservice URL, as the same URL i am using in the older environemtn. as the agile is upversioned so we are testing the webservices for new Agile. during this time. i got the error.

Just wnated to know if there any webservice connections that i need to make in the new agile for connecting the webservices or invoke the call.

Hi Adrain,

my agile is getting upversioned from 9.3.2 to 9.3.3 and i have modified the corresponding properties file  to connect to the new agile accoordingly and i can see the new URLs pointing to the new agile in log file.

Hi. yes you are correct.. i tested the URL in the browser and it is fine..

“Hi there, this is an AXIS service!

Perhaps there will be a form for invoking the service here…”

even after checking all the possible ways, the call.invoke is not happening.. so wondering which part that i missed.. can any one throw some ideas where to check for conenctions
