Hi Raghu,
It totally depends on how you design your solution. Generally what i have preferred is :
1. Implement a Logger.
2. Catch Exceptions and send those exceptions via mail to a user or set of users.Say for example :
You catch exception and send a mail by implementing SMTP in your code. The implementation comes with a To and From list where you can specify intended people/idRegards,

There are multiple differences between WebClient and Java-Client. The answer can go very long and would recommend you to go through the admin guides for the same.
In a nutshell Java-clients lets you do the administrative actions around agile e.g. all the configuration w.r.t attributes, workflow, module enabling, content services, LDAP, PX configurations, event configurations, privilege configuration etc. can be achieved via Java-Client.
Coming to WebClient, it is preferable mode for user operation due to it’s ease of use and thin-client features. Most of the operation that you can perform using Web-Client can be done using Java-client as well.

To add to Antonio, if your intention is to soft delete only. Just have a check at start for soft-deleted items so that you don’t end up hard-deleting it.
//isDeleted() checks whether an object is deleted or not.
If (!change.isDeleted())
{
change.delete();

Hi,
Few things :
1. Which version of Agile you are using.
2. Is the isue reproducible to all.
3. Also, while opening the file in Java-client, try to have Java-console. It will give you details about the error. You can set up the console by opening Java-Control Panel. Navigate to Advanced tab and Click on the radio button next to “Show Console”There are few things you can check :
1. Check if file-manager server is on or not.
2. You can log into the file-manager box and try to re-start the Apache tomcat server.Regards,

Yeah in addition to Pat’s suggestion. You can check if Mixed contents are blocked or not. You can unblock it. For every browser it’s different set of approaches,
e.g in FF you can do the following :
1. Go to address bar. Type about : config
2. Click on I understand the risk.
3. Locate security.mixed_content.block_active_content to FALSE by double clicking on it.Regards,

While selecting “Set Compare Parameters” in the BOM Comparison report window, ensure you have only “Item Number” selected in BOM-Attributes. Generally Find Number and Sites will come along with Item-number as default filter. Refer the image for reference.
FN is a number that usualy set by Bill of Material management module when create line item in BOM.

If you have Back-end access you can retrieve the file location with the following queries
Select * from file_info where file_id in (Select id from files where filename like ‘%EnterYourMissingFileName%’)
In The out-put of the query, go to “IFS_FILEPATH” and check for the path. Afterwards, Navigate to agilevaule/files/ifs_filepath to get your attachment.

Not sure by the format. It does a Level-wise comparison generally. How it works is for the two selected Items, it will compare the BOM at multiple levels. Items which are different are only listed out in the report.
On the same part existing and still showing up in the report as difference, It also compares the find number and reference designator of the items as well. Also the common items can be at different level as well.

Hi Anand,
Same was the case with me, however when i execute the following query :
Select * from file_info where IFS_FILEPATH is null
I can see entry in the HFS_FILEPATH column. Generally the location specified here resides inside the Custom filepath set for iFS.
Just verify if your iFS filepath has any other location specified for Vault_Type =”Custom”. If you go to that path probably you can see those files. I was able to see for myself.
