Multiple Browser Windows – How to Configure
At various sites I have been able to open multiple browser windows in a single Agile session by using “right click” Open in New Window. This is not always available. Are there specific Agile or browser settings that need to be in place for this to be done? Usually I have used Firefox as the browser.
The are a few KB articles shown with bug reports about this too. The recommendation is to not use multiple windows in the browser and there no setting that I know of. However I do use multiple browsers and that seems to work. IE, FF, Chrome – use one session each….
We are on 9.3.1.2 and we have advised our users never to use multiple sessions with the same browser. We have had several instances of database corruption when users are redlining in multiple windows, we get duplicate items in the BOM table that cause an ORA error and the ECO will not promote as we disallow duplicate items. This is a known issue.
We advise users to have one session open in IE and a second session in Firefox.
Hi guys, can’t it bypassed the problem by using mutiple elements on one page or iframes in one session?
I’m not quite sure what are you trying to achieve.
Typically a user can sign in 3 times concurrently but the 4th time they will not be able to log in. I am not sure if you have changed any settings. Many times users will forget to log off Agile and just close the browser session this does not necessarily close out there Agile session. A look in Admin will tell you who is logged and how many times.
