Import to change controlled field without MCO?
Hi Agile gurus!
This is probably a dumb question, but is there any way to import updates to a part field that is change controlled without a MCO/ECO?
We need to update the inspection category (change controlled field) for 300+ parts to No. The parts are rather old so if we import to an MCO then we will need to fill in all the other attributes that are now required by the workflow.
Is there any setting on import preferences, or in system preferences or smart rules that will allow you to import directly without an MCO for change controlled attributes?
(and yes, I know the RIGHT thing to do is update all the attributes on the parts that are required – but users are looking for a quick fix for just this one field.)
And I know other option is to create a new workflow that doesn’t require all the fields but we’re med device and doing that involves a lot of paperwork and validation of the new workflow which is a slow process too.
