Implement FMEA with Agile 9
Has anyone implemeted FMEA (Failure Modes & Effects Analysis) in Agile 9? PQM is probably the most appropriate module for it in Agile, but interfaces to 3rd party applications seem to be required as well. I guess that any Automotive company is implementing FMEA and DFMEA because these are regulations for this industry.
Can you please share with us the general idea of the implementations (what objects were used) and which external tools were used to configure this solution?
I guess it what you mean as implemented. We stores FMEA output as documents and use our change process to release and revise them when there is a significant chnage or rerun of the FMEA.
We don’t have project management, but I guess setting up a small project to contain any mitigating actions as project tasks could make more of the FMEA process live within Agile rather than just capture the output.

There are classes like Problem Report, Issue, Quality Change Request, Corrective and Preventive Action and so on. Based on the need different classes can be used. I think the usage is more company specific. Yes, PQM is the general module used.
The PQM module is another set of object types like the Changes: they are routable with affected items. There is another tab on the item and supplier (if you want to track suppliers) to show quality incidents. Probably the biggest benefit is having your quality process march through a workflow, enriching the record, collecting approvals and reminding to follow up.
