Can “Product Line” field / column support a hierarchical level of data?

Can “Product Line” field / column support a hierarchical levels of data (i.e. up to three levels/categories)?

Looking for a place to hold Product Hierarchy within  Oracle Agile PLM v9.3.

Good day again Cathi.

First note that PAGE 1 fields are pretty set in stone and cannot be changed a whole lot.  That being said and following your line of inquiry on product hierarchy I suspect you may want to focus on PAGE 2.  Since any changes to PAGE 1 will affect both PARTS as well as DOCUMENTS and product hierarchy  is in most cases just assigned to FINISHED GOODS which should be only PARTS.  Consider adding this nested pick list attribute to the PAGE 2 of the PARTS subclass for focused data entry and make-sense change capture for downstream data integrations.

Thanks again as always Patrick. Is adding a nested pick list attribute considered “configuration” (native  feature) or, is it already an extension/customization type of change in Agile PLM? Does it also require any programming/code change?
