Agile up gradation

I am new to agile up gradation ? During up gradation do we need to uninstall web logic or can we use the same web logic ? I didn’t find details about web logic in db up gradation guide

We don’t have to uninstall weblogic,in most of the cases weblogic need to be get upgrade for the recent version.example 12c From 10.3.x
