Good point!
my two cents 🙂
Sometime I prefer to work with community blogs/forum/wiki than use the commercial ones. This is because they are more populated than commercial ones and the topics/discussions can be related specific to the problem that someone is facing in a particular period.
Regarding MyAgilePLM, I see that there are a couple of issues to be fixed with the application in general to be perfect but it is the first place where I look in case of an issue. Then I will look to OTN. THis is my approach and I think that it is the most used one, because of indexed in google. So it is very easy to find a solution/answer related to a particular issue/question.For me is ok to be adopted by Oracle as well, but has to remain “free” and available to be reached over Google. This is also an opportunity for the community to grow and make it a very detailed and fully documented place to find answers in the Oracle Agile world 🙂

Hi Surya,
Actually Weblogic is installed and configured for Agile Purposes and is not suggested to add custom application there while Agile is in running.
However, your question is not related to Agile itself. Please find docs on oracle docsDeploy the WAR file.
-
Browse the WebLogic console using http://localhost:7001/console.
-
Goto base_domain/Deployments.
-
Click Lock and Edit.
-
Click Install.
-
Click Upload your file(s).
-
In Deployment Archive, select install-path/var/MyWar.war.
-
Click Next.
-
Select MyWar.war and click Next a few times and Finish.
-
Click Activate Changes in the top left corner.
The MyWar deployment must be in the active state.
Note –
The above steps are an example of how dscc7.war file is deployed into BEA WebLogic Server. The BEA WebLogic Server documentation is the only trustable source of information for deploying WAR files.

Just to add something to the perfect explaination by Patrick, The relationship privilege is a bit tricky because it is bidirectional. You have to manage the privilege and check the criteria on both object to grant the correct modify access to an user. I suggest to don’t use it to bind very imprtant business info but just to have such a kind of linkage between two objects.
If you have to manage a unidirectional information, you can use a Dynamic List field where is only in the source object. In that field,, you can select an existing object and manage the privilege like any other field.
This field can be set under change control and redlined over a change (in 9.3 version)- 1590 views

Hi Clovis,
It is not a built in feature so it is necessary to create a custom PX to check that. You can configure an Event PX on Workflow change status and set it as PRE Synch event, blocking the execution if fails.
In your code, you will trigger an ActionResult.Exception in case of BOM Check fails, otherwise a normal ActionResult.STRING. In this way, you can customize your checks and have the same result of a Criteria check (with a better and user friendly message)
Let me know if you need an example of JAVA Event PX with thatThis answer accepted by Clovis Chenaud Jr.. on May 5, 2024 Earned 15 points.

public class BOMStructureCheckerPX implements IEventAction {
@Override
public EventActionResult doAction(IAgileSession session, INode n, IEventInfo eventInfo) {IObjectEventInfo event = PXEventFactory.getEvent(eventInfo);
IDataObject dataobject = event.getDataObject();if(myChecker.checkFails()){
return new EventActionResult(eventInfo, new ActionResult(ActionResult.EXCEPTION, new RuntimeException(“ITEM Doesn’t contain a valid BOM”));
} else {
return new EventActionResult(eventInfo, new ActionResult(ActionResult.STRING,”Check Passes”));
}
}}
in this case you have to implement the muchecker.checkFails where you have to use your API to navigate into the Affected Items of a change and for each item heck the BOM.
Creating the PX in this way, Agile will prevent to change status on the change if the check fails.
