Medical 3D printing just got easier with the new J750™ Digital Anatomy™ 3D Printer from Stratasys! This printer has been designed to replicate the feel, responsiveness, and biomechanics of human anatomy in medical 3D models!

“We’re giving surgeons a more realistic training environment in no-risk settings,” explains Stratasys Healthcare Business Unit Head Eyal Miller.  “We also anticipate this will enable medical device makers to improve how they bring products to market by performing design verification, validation, usability studies and failure analysis with these new models.”

But that’s not all. Stratasys is also introducing three new materials:

  • TissueMatrix
  • GelMatrix
  • BoneMatrix

These materials can be used to create cardiac, vascular, and orthopedic 3D printing applications.

Updates to GrabCAD Print

GrabCAD Print 3D printing software has also been updated to support the new printer. Now, in GrabCAD Print, when you have the Digital Anatomy Printer selected, you can choose from a large library of pre-loaded anatomical models. You can even choose specific digital anatomies such as blood vessels, bones and hearts!

Medical 3D Printing

3D printing is making huge advancements in the medical & healthcare industries, and Stratasys and GrabCAD Print are helping aid in these accomplishments.

Dr. Adnan Siddiqui, Chief Medical Officer at the Jacobs Institute  explains:

The final frontier for organ model realism has been live-tissue feel and biomechanical realism. That’s exactly what the Digital Anatomy 3D Printer gives us. We believe these models give us the best opportunity to recreate human physiological conditions to simulate actual clinical situations and to study new devices to establish their effectiveness before introducing them to patients.
