Your PolyJet 3D printing projects just got a whole lot easier with the advanced 3D slicer technology we’ve added in GrabCAD Print. Today, we are happy to announce that we’ve added the following capabilities under our Advance PolyJet feature:

  • Pantone Color Matching
  • Fine Detail improvements
  • Custom part priority
  • Improved print-time and material estimations

3D Slicer Technology

Slicer software is a crucial element to 3D printing as the software “slices” your 3D model into layers that the 3D printer can understand and print. With our new advancements in the PolyJet Advanced slicer software in GrabCAD Print, you can now get more detailed in what you want your printer to do!

Pantone Color Matching

We are now Pantone certified! The Pantone Color Matching System is a standardized color system. This means that manufacturers and engineers in different locations across the world can all refer to the same Pantone system. This will ensure that colors match without getting lost in 3D printing translation.

While having a Stratasys J750 or J735 selected, just look for the Print Settings option and you’ll see the built-in Pantone books.

Prioritize & Print Exactly What You Want

Now you have even MORE control over what you want to print and priority. The latest update allows you to combine graphics and textures with varying levels of transparency, translucency, and opaqueness.

This new feature is so transparent, you could print hyper-realistic prototypes such a screen display prototype.

GrabCAD Print offers levels of transparencyYou can even assign a priority for overlapping models in an assembly to make sure you’re getting the visual output you want from your parts. And did we mention we improved our material and print-time estimations? This will help you accurately plan material purchasing and budget accordingly.

Try It Out!

Now it’s your turn to try out the Advance PolyJet features. Our Advanced PolyJet feature is available on the Stratasys J750 and Stratasys J735 3D printers. Just update GrabCAD Print software and you’ll automatically see these new features.
