Enterprise Data Quality for Product Data This is the second blog in a series about Agile 9.3.2’s integration with Oracle’s Enterprise Data Quality for Product Data (EDQP), which walks through the Agile PLM 9.3.2 and EDQP Integration White Paper to explore the integration’s setup and capabilities. This edition will focus on section 2 of the whitepaper

For the introduction, see Discovery: Agile PLM 9.3.2 and EDQP Integration (Part 1)

Section 2: Configuring EDQP with the Agile PLM Database

The main objectives of section 2 are to:

  1. Get Agile PLM installed
  2. Make sure the Oracle JVM is set up on the Agile database
  3. Run the EDQP SQL setup on the Agile database
  4. Install the datalens server
  5. Install the Microsoft Excel services for EDQP

Prior to starting the series, Agile PLM 9.3.2 and EDQP’s Admin and Transform servers were installed, so these will not be covered.  An entire blog series could be written on each product and it is beyond the intended scope of the series

Oracle JVM

If you only installed the Oracle database software (no instance) then ran the Agile database scripts, chances are that Oracle JVM is not installed.  To install it:

  1. Run the Database Configuration Assistant
  2. Step 1, select “Configure database options”, click next
  3. Step 2, select the Agile database, click next
  4. Step 3, click next
  5. Step 4, click “standard database components”
    1. Check “Oracle JVM”, click OK
    2. Click next
  6. Step 5, select a password, click next
  7. Step 6, click finish
  8. Click OK for confirmation and click through remaining dialogs

Run the EDQP SQL setup on the Agile database

On the Agile database host perform the following steps to run the EDQP scripts:

  1. Open a command prompt to /admin//create/agile
  2. On Windows execute: agile9pdq_setup.bat
    • I would expect the Unix command to be: ./agile9pdq_setup.sh

Install the Microsoft Excel services for EDQP

  1. Log into the EDQP server at <a href="http://”>http://:/datalens
  2. Click the autobuild button on the welcome tab to download the installer
  3. Exit and open Microsoft Excel applications
  4. Run the installer
