User Profile Default Attributes

In the User profile is there any way to make some attributes not visible. The option is grayed out when trying to disable the attribute.

What is it you are trying to accomplish?  I don’t experience users accessing their account object very often if at all so perhaps there is an end game that we may be more helpful with here.

What is it you are attempting to accomplish here?  In my experience not many users have actually ever accessed their profile object and if you provide a bit more context we may be of more help to you.

Nelly – It is true that there are some fields that cannot be enabled/disabled using the ‘visible yes/no’ property in the Java Client.
You can work-around this, however, by removing any unwanted fields from the ‘applied to’ section of the’Read’ privile
