Unable to get file from Attachments

Hi guys,

I have an issue that I didn’t get file from Attachment in Google Chrome, but in Microsoft IE 11 is OK.

Version: Agile PLM v9.3.4
It is no response, when I click “Get” button in tab Attachments in Google Chrome. But I can find my “Get file Attachment” action record in tab History.
The same operation works good in Microsoft IE 11.

Could you give me some helps?

I barely remember having a similar issue in the past once.  The answer has to do with the download settings in the browser settings.  That is, Chrome is probably downloading the file but you may have hidden the download bar through Chrome settings.  Check your download folder to see if that’s true and then check the browser settings.

Sorry I forgot to mention it, some other documents’ attachment could be getting in Google Chrome.

Hi Matt,

My Chrome download setting is “Always Ask”. I didn’t find anything in my download folder
It’s strange that in the same Attachment tab, I can download xlsx file correctly, but can’t download pdf file.

Hi Kenshin,

There are chances mixed content is blocked in Chrome/FF.  Also check if your save option is set as “Automatically download” instead of “Always Ask”.

Follow the below steps to Enable the mixed content and give it a try.

In Chrome

1. Click the Shield icon in the far right of the address bar.
2. In the pop-up window, click Load anyway or Load unsafe script

I will have a try with this method.
I forgot to mention it, in some other documents’ attachment is working ok in Google Chrome. It means that some is good, some is bad. All of these are good in Microsoft IE 11.

Try it and let us know which particular file extension types you are having issues in case you still face it.

Hi Arif,

I’m sorry that I didn’t find the second step in Chrome setting.

In fact, I find out about ten documents, only two documents are working OK(can download xlsx and pdf files).
others are working something wrong(can download xlsx file but can’t download pdf file).

Meanwhile, my current chrome download setting is “Always ask”. Then I reset it as “Automatically download”, the problem is still there.
