unable to find records when selectig relationship attribute for change

We are generating report for one change  which is connected with another through relationship…we are generating report on release date basis..but we are not getting all records but while not selecting relationship…we are getting all data

The advanced search should be setup in the following way:

Changes -> <source subclass>  “Relationship Search”  Changes -> <related change subclass>
Criteria: Relationships.<related change subclass>.Cover Page. Released Date <date criteria>

We have done these also but unable to find but again we did not choose relationship based search we are getting records
