Product End of Life/ End of Sale process in agile.

I am looking for information on Product End of Life/ End of Sale process in agile. I am not sure if it falls under PCM, but this what I gathered when I tried to google? Any information with regards to this will be highly appreciated, as I have been searching for it in Google for 2 days and haven’t found any document or user guide explaining the whole process, both in business terms and technically in Agile.

Because the process is totally up to you.

Your company policies and practices would dictate it.

Do you have contractual obligations?  Regulatory requirements?  Warranties? etc….

As a standard default I would say the following lifecycle is most common…

UNRELEASED
ENGINEERING
NPI (New Product Introduction or Beta trials, limited release)
RELEASE (full scale production)
END OF LIFE (no further procurement or production)
OBSOLETE (no further support)

In reference to technical terms…. Agile PLM only should not allow END OF LIFE or OBSOLETE items on new BOMs.  The rest of the functionality would most likely be driven in the ERP EBS.
