How to Change LifeCycle Phase of a part?
By default Life Cycle Phase is set as Preliminary when we create a new part.
So I want to change it to next state , how do i do that ?
Add the part to an ECO –> Go to its Affected Items tab –> in the row which displays your Part, change the New Lifeycle Phase to your desired value –> move the workflow status of the ECO to Release/Complete. The Lifecycle phase of your item will be changed now.
You can also use the MCO function which allows you to change Lifecycle Phase without rolling the revision. MCO will not work on BOM updates.
This is a very interesting and unexpected question. What is the purpose behind this question? I ask simply because this is a core function of the Product Collaboration module and I would not expect such a question so I would like to dive deeper into your inquiry.
