Error while releasing Deviation

We have an audit error that “The following required fields are not filled:Cover Page:Reason Code” even though i have made Reason Code not required by modifying “Required” attribute to “No”.

What must be done in this case as we are unable to move forward with the deviation.

Check the workflow criteria settings.  There’s two settings here, one of which you’re probably missing:
1) Check the workflow requirements so that the Reason Code is not required anywhere in the workflow (as an entry or exit required field)
2) Make sure the Reason Code field is not set to “Required” found on the Change Order Cover Page values in the Data Settings.

There’s a small change that reason code is 100% required for all Changes but I doubt it.

Yes I agree with Matt. You should verify entry and exit required fields of that workflow statuses.
