Agile PLM PPM Module – Setting “Actual Start Date” Issue

Hi Guys,

We are on Agile 9.3.1. facing PPM module “Actual Start Date” setting issue.

Setting in agile.property file.

workhour.timeperiods = 8:00:00 – 12:00:00, 13:00:00 – 17:00:00
weekend.days = 1, 7

Server is in CDT timezone.

OOTB : When users move the tasks to “In Process” status, the Actual Start date is being set automatically.

If users move after 4 PM, the date would be set to very next day 8 AM.

Issue is, when they move to “In Process” Friday after 4 PM, it is being set to Saturday 8 AM. We don’t want to set the “Actual Start Date” to weekends. It should be set to Monday 8 AM.

I think, to resolve the above issue, we need a PX to be scheduled at “In Process” status to change the date to Monday if it is being set to weekends.

Problem with the PX :

For example,

When Indian users move the tasks to “In Process” status between 5 PM Friday to 3 AM Saturday, as server is in CDT timezone, the task “Actual Start Date” would still being set as Friday 8 AM.

How do we handle the PX for different timezone?

I think, it is possible only if we get the current user timezone and set the date accordingly.

Appreciate your suggestions.

Thanks,

Anandh

Anand, if you are considering upgrading to 9.3.4 check it out.  I believe this issue may be resolved as they bring in calendar options.
