Agile Express error ‘eservices could not be detected…’

Hi,
I’m trying to use agile express to open a pdx file.
If I launch agile express first then browse and open pdx file it works fine.
But if try and double-click the pdx file to open I get this error:
eservices could not be detected and will be unavailable for this session.
please check your internet connection and eservice url.

Any idea what this means and how to correct?

Thank you,
Laura

Yeah, just click through it and open the PDX from the menu choices…. this is common.

Prior to agile 9 that is Agile 6,7, 8, 8.5. PDX mode of data exchange in and out of Agile through package object was possible.  It was having capability to create and update data using Agile express.

In order, create and update data in agile, Agile username, and url details are required to enter in Agile eXpress.

In Agile 9.3 it was not supported but functional. This approach got recognized again from 9.3.2 onwards.

However,  now user need to create data outside of agile and view in agile express, For import,  one need to use import/export feature.

As far as message is concerned, it is showing due to missing information in Agile express. it is related to agile server details that are needed to configure in PDX viewer tool.

Thank you Patrick and Paritosh. Is there a way to get rid of the error? I tried filling in a server name in settings. I updated e-service preferences but they don’t get saved when you exit so the error still persists. It’s annoying and confusing to users. Any way to get rid of the error forever?

Thank you,
Laura
