Upgrade to 9.3.6

We are on 9.3.4 and want to upgrade to 9.3.6.8 or 9 and move to HTTPS.

Does anyone have a technical plan for this?

Michael,

These plans are very specific to many moving parts and would expect a full SDLC review and planning.  So many unique differences in architecture, PXs, and integrations.  I highly recommend a full review for the upgrade.

Hello Michael

We were on 932 when we migrated from http to https. We thought it would be straightforward, but we ran into several issues

The biggest one was that we also had to do go https on filemanager. Because of this, performance with uploads/downloads took a hit. So, we had to work with our network team to do some optimizations to bring it to an acceptable level

For our custom apps, we had to review each one of them and had to adjust on a case by case basis

Thank you for the feedback. The information on the File manager is very helpful.

In a way, we were forced to. Because, the uploads/download wouldn’t complete when we just enabled SSL on the app server

Be aware of https file manager not working with the Java Client unless you install a certificate in the client’s java. Not a big concern unless you want to use the bulk file load utility in the Java Client.

Recently upgraded from 9.3.1.1 to 9.3.6.10 with out any issues, we done some test run on the lower environments for a span of 2-3 months, once we resolved all the issues we went live with prod. Though we didn’t go to https yet.
