Not able to Create new attributes for classes (Page Two)

Hi All,

Am trying to add additional field in page two of items.But the create Icon is in disable mode.
suggest me if I need to add any specific roles to do this.

Hi VGOGULA

you’re trying to create a page two attribute in the subclass level, it’s not allowed.
you must create the attribute at class level and turn the attribute visible at subclass level.

Yes as Carlos has pointed out, you must be in the PARTS or DOCUMENTS node in order to create page two fields.

Thanks for your reply,

I have done the same as you said, now am able to create but its showing error like no privilege.
In both two and three pages am getting same error.
Suggest me if I am missing anything.

VGOGULA,

after you enable attributes you must change the read and modify privileges to be able to read and modify them.
If you create new privilege and associate it to a rule, you’ll need to log out/in to the new privilege takes effect.

I have done the same.Added read and modify privileges and logged out ..still its showing No Privilege.

Hi VGOULA,

there’s a relationship among privileges, roles, users and user groups.
You create privileges and add them to a role, you can create a specific role, if needed, or to use the out-of-box ones.
You should create a group and associate roles and users to this group, or you can add roles to the users. Be aware that it’s easier to manage the relationship between roles and groups than roles and users.

I have done the same as you said..Initially I have missed some of the Privileges, upon adding those its working fine.
