How to enable Type in property tab in personalize pallet?

if you intend to configure a new view and set it to all users you just need to save a new view, go to Personalize and choose one option. In my example I can set the new view for all Parts or for Product. Product is a custom type of Parts.

As per my knowledge, if I create a Personalized view (say for the BOM tab), set the Type as Global, and make it the Default for a Parts subclass or the Parts class itself, then it will be reflected in my user profile only and not for other users.
Making it Global will ensure that other users can view that particular Personalized view. But they have to make it a Default view as per their choice from their own user profile’s to apply it.
Agile will not allow administrator to set a Personalized view as Default for all users from front end.
The Type field will default to “Personal” and be greyed out, cannot change it, if you do not have privilege to save to a global view. I think the privilege you need is GlobalSearches.
Please ensure you have Manage Global Views in the right hand pane of the Applied To section of the Administrator privilege. This should resolve your issue.
