Hide Affected Items tab

Is there any way Affected Items tab can be disabled? There are many types of Changes created in the system. The affected items tab needs to be diabled(hidden) only for a few types of changes. But I have found Change form tab and Affected Items tab cannot be hidden using “Tab Display Configuration” option. Can you please suggest a workaround

For which classor subclass you want to hide the affected item tab? If there are no business objects created for that particular subclass, then you can disable the tab right away from java client.

I am trying to diable for Class type Changes. Are there any mandatory tabs for Changes that cannot be disabled?

Change Order or Change Requests? For either one of them disabling the Tab from Class level will lead its disablement in all the inherited subclasses, unless you enable them individually in some of them. They are not mandatory tabs per se.

This is for Change Requests.

I have to try this. Thanks Swagoto

Nik

do you need to disable Affected Items tab to all Changes? Does it make sense to the business? I`m wondering why?
Any way instead of to disable the Affected Items Tab you could try to remove Read Privileges for those groups that should`nt have access to the info. I`m assuming that you need to disable the tab for a few type of changes, only, not for all.

Exactly, you spoke my mind Carlos. I don’t actually understand what’s the purpose of using change orders without the Affected Item tab when almost the sole purpose of Change Orders class is to maintain revisions of the objects in its Affected Item.

Hi Carlos,

we have a subclass for which no objects will be used. Since most of the users are fairly new to Agile, they are confused when objects needs to be used and when not to use. So we want to disable the tab so it does not appear when not necessary.
