Error when selecting “applied to” fields in Role privilege mask.

I am creating a new change class (which for simplicity’s sake I’ll call “ECO”). ECO is a subclass of the Engineering Change Order class. While creating the role (“ECO User”) to access this ECO subclass, I’ve discovered that some of the fields (pg 1 and pg 2 fields) seem to be governed by the Engineering Change Order class, while the pg 3 fields seem to be governed by the ECO subclass. I’ve therefore created Modify privileges for both Engineering Change Order: pg 1 and pg 2 fields, and for the ECO subclass. I’ve also created Read and Discovery privileges for the class and subclass.

When I try to add the Applied To fields for the class level Modify and Read privileges, however, I run into a strange error. I can open the dropdown menu in the privilege, select the ECO fields I want affected by this privilege, and close the menu, but as soon as I hit the Save button my “affected by” fields vanish from the selection bar. Has anyone else experienced this sort of error? What was your solution?
