Hi Vidya,
I think it is a known bug for 9.3.3.PPM doesn’t support general Import from excel.
Faced in my last project. There was the KM document shared by Oracle for this. It has same error as you getting along with work-around. If you have access to Oracle support then browse Doc ID 1082425.1
Let me know if you have issues in accessing document, will share the details here.

Hi Supriya.
Tough to predict unless code is simulated on local. We do see performance issues with PCM in terms of PX as well time to time. Did you try to clear SDK cache and do a complete rebounce.
If you face issue after that, you can raise an SR with Oracle incident, we too were getting Object modification error where their dev analyst suggested re-designing. So they will be able to provide more from design pov.

Hi Karthik,
There is no support for event at Import in Agile SDK. Both import and Create work differently. Create event should be triggered only when you are trying to create any object from Actions menu.
You can refer this thread for detailed clarification and alternate approach.

Hi Karthik,
It depends on what’s the bandwidth you have. What event are you trying to trigger here. If you can cast some light on it.
May be you can think of a custom application where you can execute the import via SDK. Your tool should read the input file, create data-objects one by one and then performs your custom logic.

Hi Patrick,
Nothing on the maintenance activity. We are using AWS for web-servers and re-start/cache-clearing we do twice/once a month. So on environment-keeping wise Oracle approves our approach.
We are yet to achieve performance improvement on PCM Module. We achieved in my last org. on PPM and PC module, a significant improvement by purging data in some table. For PCM there isn’t similar options.
We have couple of SRs going on with Oracle and we had a visit with their folks at our campus. We are trying to chalk-out plans for improvement. One thing that we have got recommendation is for purging our historical items-data, which again we are thinking upon.
The major issue that plagues PCM are like :
1. It was not possible earlier to update data for Sourcing projects with more than 1000+ items. But now we have resolved it with parameter changes in Agile application.jar file.
2. On other Actions it is taking more than expected time. Almost like triple and sometimes not at all happening for following actions:-
a. Save As on QSP – Fails if existing projects have item > 500 or so. Or gives white screen.
b. Import Items on sourcing project. ( For 5000 items it takes almost double time of what Oracle folks managed in their system)
c. Export QSP from Analysis tab which takes 1700 sec. compared to prescribed 93.Similarly there are other actions as well.
So pretty much a work-in progress at the moment.
Will share if we get breakthrough.

Hi Kaarthi,
This is a known issue. It generally happens when there is a version conflict with respect to AgileAPI you are using in your project.
e.g. Your current Agile version is say 9.3.5 and you have added 9.3.3 or any older version in the build path of project.
The best work-around is :
1. Login to your Agile server.
2. Navigate to AGILE_HOME/integration/sdk/lib/
3. Copy AgileAPI.jar to your local system.
4. Remove the existing AgileAPI.jar present in the build path with the one you got from server.Let me know if you still get issue.

Yes, pretty fair assessment. The whole comparison thing came in picture once Oracle analysts tried to reproduce all the action point we suggested and they were able to do it a pretty less time. Again their is an ideal environment with less customized process extensions compared to ours.
One thing that i personally found helpful was increasing the session time-out in admin jar present inside Application.ear file. It helps in completing PXes operating on large set of data. Also clustered vs Non-Clustered environment varies greatly in performance.
As of now, for few of the actions we are thinking of writing custom-code. Will share once achieve breakthrough.
