I’m celebrating a decade of blogging. I started to blog about PLM in 2008. But, Beyond PLM, as a blog name only happened in 2010. So, I can say Beyond PLM is 10 years old and it was an awesome journey and experience. I learned a lot and hope helped many of you with my articles. Thanks for your comments and contribution. Without you Beyond PLM would be never possible. My additional Beyond PLM projects – plmbook.com and my experiment with Musings about the Bill of Materials video blog are on the back burner as my main priority these days is OpenBOM which is getting bigger and growing – OpenBOM Named as a High Performer in the G2 Winter 2020 Grid® Report for Product Lifecycle Management. Read more about it on OpenBOM Blog.
After a decade of active (almost daily) blogging, I’ve got about 2 million visitors on Beyond PLM. It doesn’t include Beyond PLM articles published on LinkedIn and other social networks. Today, I want to share the top 10 stories for the 2010s (I figured that the barrier to get on the list was 20K views and more). In addition to my previous article, What happened with PLM in the last 10 years, it can give you an idea about what was in the minds of PLM readers in the last decade. Some of these articles are old, but after reviewing them, I found most of them still relevant today. I was (not) surprised by the number of blogs that cover basics or 101 type articles.
And here is the list.
I hope you enjoyed this decade-old reading perspective. Let me know what topics are you looking for in the 2020s.
What is my conclusion?
I look forward to a new decade. In my view, it is the best time to be in the PLM business. The maturity of PLM combined with the maturity of new technologies will create many success stories for the decade of the 2020s. Will “PLM” stay as the name in the 2020s? Are we finally going beyond PLM? You will find these and many other stories on Beyond PLM next year. I’m looking forward to see you around in PLM business – stay cool! Just my thoughts…
Happy New Year!
