Enes Hodzic holds a degree in mechanical engineering. He currently works as a mechanical project engineer at Galvatech in Bihac, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has been a member of the GrabCAD Community since May of 2016.

What attracted you to the GrabCAD Community in the first place?

I heard of the GrabCAD Community from my good friend Esmir Durakovic, who has been a member since 2012.

What’s your favorite part of being a member?

My favorite part of being a member is actually the fact that you can communicate with engineers from all over the world. I am a communicative person who loves to meet people, so the ability to talk to engineers from around the world makes me very happy. I enjoy getting to know other member’s modeling methods, exchanging comments, and sharing engineering experience. I also like the fact that you can find any model that you need at any time in the GrabCAD Community Library.

What were three things that you’ve learned since joining the Community?

1. You can always find help from other members when you are working on a project.

2. By sharing my own models, I can help provide other designers and engineers with models or inspiration for their conceptual solution.

3. It’s nice to be part of such a large family where you can always look for help and see different solutions. Since I work as a 3D CAD designer, I always need to see something different and learn something new.

Who are some of your favorite members or some of your favorite models?

For me, there is no such a thing as my favorite member. All members of the Community give their contribution by sharing their models, no matter how simple or complicated they are. I can certainly thank my friend Esmir Durakovic, who introduced me to this huge engineering family, and of course there is Mehmet aka MAB, who always cheers you up with some nice comment or private message (and when I say always I really mean always).

What is your favorite model you’ve designed and posted to the Community and why?

If I had to single out one model, then it might be the Land Rover Defender 90. There is a lot of detail on it, and maybe I actually invested the most effort and design skills on that one.

As Enes noted, there’s a lot of skilled and knowledgable professionals on the GrabCAD Community that are more than happy to share those skills with you. Here are some more interviews of GrabCAD Community members that you might enjoy.
